About Summer House Season 1 Episode 8
Original Air Date: February 27, 2017
Episode Title: Sprained Relationships (Season 1, Episode 8)
Episode Summary – Summer House Season 1, Episode 8: “Sprained Relationships”
In this Summer House Season 1 Episode 8 recap, the weekend kicks off with Lindsay confronting Everett about the infamous “woke up with four people” comment, and for a brief moment, it seems like trust and PDA will carry them through. Meanwhile, the house gets ready to support Everett’s charity run for veterans – an event that gives us Ashley’s ankle injury. Lauren and Carl attempt yet another reboot after she calls him out for ghosting her, only to find out that Christina may have been meddling in their already-messy situationship. Christina insists she’s “not fake,” but her roommates are telling a different story.
The emotional fallout sets in: Ashley is hurt, both literally and figuratively, Carl is back to sweet-talking Lauren, and Kyle is suddenly reflecting on Amanda again (as one does after kissing a houseguest on a party bus). When Stephen finally rejoins the group, he stirs the pot at dinner, reigniting the four-in-a-bed mystery and pushing Lindsay and Everett toward a full-blown meltdown. Lauren calls out Christina for being a chaos agent in her relationship with Carl, and the house erupts into a finger-pointing frenzy. It’s Summer House at its Bravo-iest – messy, ridiculous, and weirdly heartfelt.
Who We Are: Last to the Party, But First in Your Bravo Queue
We’re Megan and Wendy – real-life best friends and seasoned podcasters. Our podcast Last to the Party was born out of a long-winded, laugh-filled debate about Summer House Season 9 during one of our monthly Pop Culture Club episodes on Patreon. And suddenly a lightbulb went off – why not start a Summer House rewatch podcast?

Wendy is our resident Bravo historian – she’s been here since the early days of Real Housewives and can recall every iconic feud, unforgettable quote, and off-camera drama like she’s flipping through a well-worn scrapbook. Her deep knowledge adds the context and expert insight that makes each rewatch richer.
Megan, on the other hand, is a little newer to the Bravo universe. She’s dipped in and out over the years – maybe a season here, a franchise there – but her fresh perspective and candid reactions bring the kind of delightful surprises and unexpected laughs that even longtime fans will love.
Together, we’ve spent over 15 years creating content side by side, most recently as the duo behind the hit podcast Girls Gone Hallmark. With Last to the Party, we’re channeling that same natural chemistry and unfiltered commentary into the world of Bravo.
