About Summer House Season 1 Episode 5

Original Air Date: February 6, 2017
Episode Title: “Wine, Whining, and Wieners” (Season 1, Episode 5)

Episode Summary – Summer House Season 1, Episode 5: “Wine, Whining, and Wieners”

In Summer House Season 1 Episode 5, the wheels fully fall off the party bus on the ride home from the St. Bart’s party, where Everett goes full banshee and Lindsay responds with a literal smack. What follows is peak Bravo chaos: screaming matches and Carl deciding the only logical next move is… to hit the town solo. Everyone’s drunk, no one’s making sense, and Kyle’s only safe space is quietly stress-eating chips in the kitchen. The next morning, Lindsay and Everett are back to their toxic cuddles (because of course they are), and Ashley’s prepping to peace out for California. But not before a trip to the winery, where Lindsay doubles down on drama, disinvites Christina from the house, and somehow believes “let go, fired, quit” are all synonyms. Spoiler: they aren’t.

The winery spirals into another group therapy session no one asked for, Carl’s the human equivalent of a flat wine cooler, and Stephen is the MVP for saying what we’re all thinking: disinviting people is doing the most. By next weekend, Ashley returns, Jaclyn’s back too (cue problems), and Carl’s middle school flirting with Jaclyn lights a fuse no one’s ready for. Christina sees it all, says the quiet part out loud, and Carl tells her to STFU. The drama’s on a loop tighter than your favorite pair denim jorts, and yet… we simply cannot look away.

Who We Are: Last to the Party, But First in Your Bravo Queue

We’re Megan and Wendy – real-life best friends and seasoned podcasters. Our podcast Last to the Party was born out of a long-winded, laugh-filled debate about Summer House Season 9 during one of our monthly Pop Culture Club episodes on Patreon. And suddenly a lightbulb went off – why not start a Summer House rewatch podcast?

Wendy is our resident Bravo historian – she’s been here since the early days of Real Housewives and can recall every iconic feud, unforgettable quote, and off-camera drama like she’s flipping through a well-worn scrapbook. Her deep knowledge adds the context and expert insight that makes each rewatch richer.

Megan, on the other hand, is a little newer to the Bravo universe. She’s dipped in and out over the years – maybe a season here, a franchise there – but her fresh perspective and candid reactions bring the kind of delightful surprises and unexpected laughs that even longtime fans will love.

Together, we’ve spent over 15 years creating content side by side, most recently as the duo behind the hit podcast Girls Gone Hallmark. With Last to the Party, we’re channeling that same natural chemistry and unfiltered commentary into the world of Bravo.
