In the City Season 1 Episode 5: Trolley Problems

This week on Last to the Party, we’re breaking down In the City Season 1 Episode 5, “Trolley Off the Tracks,” an episode that took a simple Loverboy marketing event and somehow turned it into a rolling disaster. We discuss Kenny’s emotional search for his estranged father, why SparkGate refuses to die, and Lindsay and Danielle’s cautious attempt to find their way back to friendship. Then there’s the trolley ride itself, where old grudges, Bravo blogs, group chats, and years of resentment collided in spectacular fashion. Plus, Amanda finally moves out, Kyle makes one questionable decision after another, and we’re left wondering whether this separation is really about saving their marriage – or finally admitting it’s over.

In the City Season 1 Episode 5 premiered on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 on Bravo. Last to the Party recaps will drop in your podcast feeds on Fridays.

Spark Notes: The Comment That Refuses to Die

Kenny and Kyle attempt to put the infamous “no spark” conversation to bed, but not before Kenny redefines the word “spark” for the 50th time. We discuss whether anyone actually learned anything and how long this storyline will continue to haunt the cast.

Daddy Issues and Private Investigators

In the episode’s most unexpectedly emotional storyline, Kenny opens up about his estranged father and the search that’s been 25 years in the making. We unpack the backstory, the phone calls, and if we care.

Loverboy Presents: The Trolley of Terror

What started as a marketing event quickly became a mobile group therapy session. We break down the trolley ride from hell, the cringey bar stops, and how a free can of Loverboy somehow led to another Bravo civil war.

Bravo Blogs, Group Chats, and Other Weapons of Mass Destruction

Danielle and Eoin come armed with screenshots, Amanda comes armed with receipts, and suddenly everyone is arguing about who said what and when. We try to untangle the mess and determine whether this fight was ever actually about the rumor.

Lindsay and Danielle: Friendship Relaunch or Soft Launch?

Over pizza, Lindsay and Danielle attempt to figure out whether their friendship has a future. We discuss second chances, trust issues, and why Lindsay seems willing to forgive but definitely not forget.

The Farewell Kyle Forgot to Attend

Amanda had a movie version of moving day in mind. Kyle had… other plans. We break down their painful final goodbye, Amanda’s growing resentment, and why this confrontation felt less like a random fight and more like years of disappointment finally bubbling over.

Who We Are: Last to the Party, But First in Your Bravo Queue

We’re Megan and Wendy – We’re real-life best friends and seasoned podcasters, and our podcast Last to the Party was born out of a long-winded, laugh-filled Summer House Season 9 debate during one of our monthly Pop Culture Club Patreon episodes. Somewhere between the hot takes, Bravo history lessons, and emotional damage, a lightbulb went off: why not turn this into a full-blown podcast dedicated to reacting to all the chaos of In the City?

Wendy is our resident Bravo historian – she’s been here since the early days of Real Housewives and can recall every iconic feud, unforgettable quote, and off-camera drama like she’s flipping through a well-worn scrapbook. Her deep knowledge adds the context and expert insight that makes each rewatch richer.

Megan, on the other hand, is a little newer to the Bravo universe. She’s dipped in and out over the years – maybe a season here, a franchise there – but her fresh perspective and candid reactions bring the kind of delightful surprises and unexpected laughs that even longtime fans will love.

Together, we’ve spent over 15 years creating content side by side, most recently as the duo behind the hit podcast Girls Gone Hallmark. With Last to the Party, we’re channeling that same natural chemistry and unfiltered commentary into the world of Bravo.
